-HG Fact, l'un des label punk / hardcore japonais les plus marquants s'apprrête à sortir Crossface / Cross Days (un nouveau groupe comprenant dans ses membres le guitariste de Jabara). Mais surtout, on sait maintenant que les prochain split de Corrupted sera avec les italiens misanthropes Cripple Bastards! Et aussi, un nouveau Envy, le premier Jabara, un nouveau Paintbox et un 7" des Slowmotions etc... A suivre...

-Chez Tzadik, la section New Japan semble bien relancée après un petit passage à vide : outre la suite de Cathode d'Otomo Yoshihide (en Composer Serie), logiquement baptisée Anode, annoncé pour bientôt et la sortie d'une curiosité inattendue Syzygys: Eyes on Green / Syzygys Live at Tokyo Inkstick 1988 (décrit comme de la pop microtonale !), Tzadik crée l'évement avec la sortie d'un disque d'Hikashu... Enfin, s'écrit-on, après tant d'années d'attente, voilà enfin un disque de ce groupe mythique disponible à l'étranger.

- Shoji Hano est un batteur unique qui a toujours navigué entre rock et jazz (cf. Poly Breath Percussions) . - Le label allemand Insolito s'apprête à rééditer deux disques de Corrupted. Longtemps introuvables car sortis à l'époque sur Frigidity Disco, le micro label personnel du groupe, El Paso Inferior et El Dios Queja? sont des EP dont l'un fait tout de même 45 min! Toujours au rayon hardcore/grind/punk, Bloodbath vient de sortir un split DxIxE / Nikkudorei soit un des groupes grind japonais les plus respectés et un OVNI noise/grind, un disque d'Unholy Grave, mais on ne les compte plus et on attend Minch / Congenital Heamoroids, les seconds ayant déja fait une reprises des premiers. Sur MCR enfin inscrivez sur vos tablettes qu'en Septembre sort Gloom Noise Attack Devastating Tokyo City un LP de 14 minutes?
- Hardcore news : Reissue of two Corrupted early EP on Insolito El Paso Inferior (that last no less than 45 min.) and El Dios Queja? On Bloodbath, the latest releases are a split DxIxE / Nikkudorei and a new Unholy Grave. And out soon a Minch / Congenital Heamoroids split EP. Finally, on the punk label MCR, Gloom is going to release a Live LP, Noise Attack Devastating Tokyo City of 14 minutes?

-Alchemy, l'un des meilleurs labels japonais avec PSF va sortir prochainement un disque de Space Machine, le projet dont on entend tellement parler en ce moment. Space Machine est le nouveau projet de Maso Yamazaki alias Masonna.
-The cult noise label Alchemy is going to release a CD of the infamous new project Maso Yamazaki of frightening Masonna fame called Space Machine.

- Affutez votre porte monnaie : pas moins de sept nouveaux titres autour d'Acid Mother Temple. Chez AMT records, un nouveau Tsurubami (le précédent était sorti confidentiellement chez LVD), Hansho no omoi; Miyamoto Naoki et Makoto Kawabata, Electric Guitars; le volume 4 des Privates Tapes, de Makoto, cette fois à 100 ex.; le premier disque solo d'Atsushi Tsuyama depuis Henry the Human Horse : Is it a pencil or a sheet?; Higashi Hiroshi, Ikkan no yoyo. Chez Swordfish, la version CD de la Novia, augmentée d'inédits (merci pour ceux qui avait l'autre!). - En prévision sur Tzadik... Ruins : Live at Kichijouji Mandala II Un enregistrement live, peut-être le premier depuis Refusal Fossil sur Skin Graft. Dans une salle mythique de l'underground japonais. Avec également 20 minutes du violoniste Katsui Yuji (membre de Bondage Fruit). Un chef d'oeuvre complexe, intense et puissant par deux musiciens qui font ressembler le duo basse/batterie à un orchestre de moteurs à réaction !

- A paraître en juillet, sur TZADIK dans la série NEW JAPAN SERIES : A Qui Avec Gabriel Utsuho. -C'est maintenant certain, le prochain et dernier opus de la série Rebore portera le numéro 0 et verra les Boredoms remixés par les Boredoms! Le disque est déjà sorti au Japon (Comfort); Attendez encore un peu pour l'avoir à des prix très dissuasifs aux Etats Unis!

-Une nouvelle orientation pour Masami Akita, l'homme derrière Merzbow. En duo avec Zbiegniew Karkowski, artiste maintenat installé au Japon, qui a déjà croisé la route de Aube ou de Atau Tanaka (au sein de Sensorband) pour une bataille de disques durs semble-t-il. Mazk sur Tigerbeat6 Records (disponible sur Forced Exposure)
- Masami Akita and Zbigniew Karkowski just released Mazk on Tigerbeat6 Records. Live recordings of the laptop crushing combined forces of Masami Akita, better known to the world as the infamous noise mastermind Merzbow and Zbigniew Karkowski, established experimental solo artist and member of the stellar musical group Sensorband. (you can find it at Forced Exposure)

-Réedition de Loop Circuit, Sound on Sound (Starlight Furniture Company/Tedium House) Sorti à l'origine sur G.R.O.S.S. en édition limité à 88 copies fin 1994, Sound on Sound est un projet d'Akifumi Nakajima (aka AUBE) et de Dub Murashita. Sonorités électroniques et synthétiseur analogique, dans l'esprit de Club Skull. Pour les fans des premiers Kraftwerk et Tangerine Dream. L'édition est en vinyle limitée à 222 exemplaires. (disponible chez Midheaven)
-Loop Circuit, Sound on Sound (Starlight Furniture Company/Tedium House) Originally released by Japan's G.R.O.S.S. label as a cassette in a limited edition of 88 copies in late 1994, LOOP CIRCUIT's Sound on Sound joins Akifumi Nakajima (aka AUBE) with Dub Murashita together in an all-electronic self-hypnosis seminar. Fans of early Kraftwerk or early Tangerine Dream will lapse into their usual trance-state. Now reissued in LP at 222 copies. (you can find it at Midheaven)

-Hiroshi Hashimoto, alias Contagious Orgasm sortira ces jours-ci son nouvel opus chez Ground Fault Recordings. Encore une fois, pour The flow of sound without parameter, il mélange des sons trouvés à l'extérieur (ici en Allemagne) avec des éléments noise.

-Bon, OK, Koji Asano n'est plus japonais depuis quelques temps...Mais ce n'est pas pour ça qu'on va se priver de vous annoncer la sortie de Autumn Meadow sur son label Solstice.

- Hoppy Kamiyama a fondé l'année dernière un nouveau label, God Ocean. 3 titres sont déjà paru. Son groupe trance techno, The Saboten (http://sab_010_factory.tripod.co.jp/) vient de sortir un nouvel album : kali. Autre actualité : La musique composée par The Saboten pour le désormais fameux film Erotico-SF expérimental IKU (bientôt chez K Film) sort en france chez Sonore.
- Hoppy Kamiyama got a new label since last year, God Ocean. He just released a new record with The Saboten : kali. Other news : The original soundtrack to the Japanese sci-fi porn film 'I.K.U'., swinging between Techno and Easy Listening is release in France thru the Sonore label.

- Bathtub Shitter, très bon groupe de grind ne chôme pas. En ce moment en studio pour peaufiner leur prochain disque, ils viennent de sortir un 10" (Wall of world is words)chez Farewell records/germany(Farewellrec@aol.com) et l'on attend incessamment sous peu un EP agrémenté de bonus tracks sur Dies Irae Productions, un label de Singapour.(dayofwrath@mailcityasia.com)

- Astro : Reflexive Universe (CD TA035) le japonais Hiroshi Hasegawa (membre fondateur du maintenant défunt groupe C.C.C.C.) présente les derniers travaux de son projet solo psychedelique-noise. Suite aux albums épuisés MSG of electronics wave et Bio-Galaxy, c'est son troisième disque à sortir chez Tochnit Aleph. Edition CDR limitée à 150 copies, dans un superbe packaging. - Juntok Kaneko : Endless Ruins (PSF) Disque solo de Juntok Kaneko (vo, g) du mystérieux groupe Kosokuya, dont l'histoire paraît-il remonte à la fin des années 70. Un disque chez Forced Exposure (le label), un autre chez PSF et quelques apparitions dans les compilaton Tokyo Flashback (dont le premier volume, pour une prestation assez peu convaincante). Accompagné sur quelques titres par Takuya Nishimura (b ; 2, 6), Koji Shimura (ds ; 2, 6).

- Zeni Geva, après six ans d'absence revient avec 10, 000 Light Years (Neurot Recordings) dans la droite lignée de ses prédecesseurs. Signalons le disque du leader du groupe KK Null, Peak of Nothingness, récemment sorti chez Hushush.

- Akiyama Tetuzi, Taku Sugimoto, Bo Wiget : Spazieren/Hokou/Periodic Drift (Corpus Hermeticum) Nouveau disque du très zen guitariste et violoncelliste Taku Sugimoto (une étiquette qui lui colle à la peau), décidément plus en phase avec la scène free européenne. Il est toutefois épaulé pour sa rencontre avec le violoncelliste suisse Bo Wiget de son compatriote Akiyama Tetuzi à la guitare.

- Rovo : Imago (Incidental Music). Réedition du premier disque (1999) de ce groupe gravitant autour de Seiichi Yamamoto, guitariste des Boredoms et du violoniste Katsui Yuji (Bondage Fruit, Demi Semi Quaver). Encore des émules de la vague japonaise actuelle mélant techno et instrument divers sur un ton très psychédélique.

- Avec du retard signalons toutefois le dernier Kan Mikami sorti début avril : Depression of Gentleman (PSF), avec, une fois n'est pas coutume Toshiaki Ishizuka (Kazuki Tomokawa, Vajra) aux percussions. Ainsi que la distribution en France du dernier disque des Boredoms, Vision Creation Newsun (pressage US sorti chez Birdman), depuis quelques temps disponible jusque dans les FNAC.
- We're late, but we could'nt miss it : Kan Mikami has released a new record, Depression of Gentleman (PSF), in april. With Toshiaki Ishizuka (Kazuki Tomokawa, Vajra) on percussions.

- NIVRAYM, quatrième disque du groupe Koenji-Hyakkei, progressif décalé. Nostalgique mais tout de même intéressant puisqu'il s'agit d'un groupe de Tatsuya Yoshida (Ruins, Akaten, Musica Transonic). Avec: Yoshida Tatsuya (drums vocal) / High Rider JIN (guitar) / Sakamoto Kengo (bass vocal) / Oguchi Kenichi (keyboard) / Sagara Nami (soprano). Sorti chez Maigabutsu Ltd.
- NIVRAYM is the fourth record from Koenji-Hyakkei (Maigabutsu Ltd). Band lead by Tatsuya Yoshida.

- Zensoku grind, projet noise grind, vient de sortir un nouveau disque, split avec un certain Penyynep : Trebor-split of west noise no.1. Penyynep (side A) est un noisicien de l'ouest du Japon, il travaille à partir de guitares faites maison. Pour amateur averti, le disque n'étant édité qu'à 30 exemplaires. Une pure démarche anti commercial.
